Add to Lightbox DownloadA group of people in their room at Schegarsk Internat. Some 200 disabled persons live at the Internat. Most of the them are Russian, there are a few Tatar. In Russia by burocratic reasons disabled person can not leave the Internats. Until very recently they would spend their live out in the Internat. From two-three years the politicians are talking about a “inclusion policy” to allow disabled persons to live in the society. These days “The Hidden World”, a NGO that collaborates with Caritas, provides used clothes and food to disabled persons at the Internat and take care for them some day in the summer camps in the countryside. Social workers tend to visit Internat every forthnights.There are eight Internats run by the Government in the Kuzbass region. There are Internats in every Russian region.
