An unsustainable burden: Georgian refugees from South Ossetia and Upper Abkhazia

IMG_020 GEORGIA. Tbilisi. 2009. Disable persons’ centre. A group of disable persons in a corridor. They lost their limbs during the war with Russia of August 2008. The refugees fled from the South Ossetia and Upper Abkhazia have a medical insurance that covers the costs for the admissions to hospitals.
These disable persons get a benefit of 100 lari per month, about 50 euro from Georgian government.
